About Deanna
T'ai Chi Chih is a mindful moving meditation, a form of Qi Gong that differs from traditional T'ai Chi Chuan in its compressed attention to 19 gentle movements and one pose. The practice is easily learned by children, teens, and adults, either standing or seated, for those with limited mobility or to relieve stress and refocus attention during seated work.
T'ai Chi Chih has studied cumulative health benefits related to general health and healthy aging, as well as benefits specifically associated with conditions such as depression/anxiety, arthritis, COPD, immune function, fatigue, and pain relief. Unlike some forms of exercise, this mindful practice is safely accommodated for cancer patients and survivors. For more information, visit the official T'ai Chi Chih webpage.
I have been an accredited instructor since 2013 and a personal practitioner for more than 18 years. I have taught in schools, recreation/community centers, libraries, businesses, and given private/group lessons for clients aged 5 - 95 and believes TCC has something to offer practitioners of any age. I am available to visit homes, schools, businesses, institutions, and events to offer instruction at consciously reasonable rates for individuals and groups. I am also available through video chat platforms by preference or for lessons outside the service area.
I enjoy helping people get back into their bodies and take charge of their health in a gentle, effective way.

We have an intake about mental/physical goals, previous experience, and any health concerns.
I teach the foundational movements and principles of the practice as we begin learning the form. I teach online and provide a weekly video for students to practice with between sessions.
