About Robert

Very patient, 45 years of teaching golf as a PGA Golf Professional, teachig golfers of all levels, all aspects of golf. I know how to help the student acquire golf skills in short order and with a minimum amount of time and effort spent. I like to use a little levity at any possible opportunity. Email summarys of information regarding each lesson and utilize video analysis, launch monitor and the latest technology BodiTrak pressure mat which helps my students to use ground force better. I shot 63 and only played about 30 rounds of golf that year. I teach golf at my home in an in-door outdoor studio and I guarantee you technology is the way to go. I also teach at a near by Golf Range in Arlington Texas. Check me out at (concealed information) Instruction tab

I love helping students to enjoy the game of golf, so much so that I would do it for free, except my wife and my dog would object.

I love watching the look on students faces when they hit that ball solid, make a great chip, pitch or putt or just understand and feel what I am passing on to them.

At a Driving range in Bellvue, Washington after starting golf in the USAF at the age of 21, going the the Masters and watching Arnold Palmer winning in 1960 and 1962, getting down to a 3 handicap in 2 years and then turning Professional and became a PGA Golf Professional 4 years later.

45 years of teaching golf as a PGA Golf Professional, Managed a golf course for 15 years, had my own business, Marlow's Discount Golf and Schools for about 30 years, gave over $100,000 in lessons in one year, have done all types of club fitting, building and repair, attended many PGA Teacning Seminars, work with video analysis for many years, have made videos for resale of my teaching technique including swing fundamentals, pitiching, chipping and putting technique.

I watch them swing and notice the good things first in order to evailuate how to approach the process I will use, and in 1 or 2 swings can pretty much determine what they know and their athletic ability. I compliment them I the good things and then begin working on the fundamentals. I believe that 90 percent of all golf shots is the setup. The motion is not that difficult to obtain, it is all about the process.

Find someone you feel comfortable with and give the teacher feedback, such as your goals, time table, needs and wants.

I have been teaching a 77 year old gentleman who had never played golf before. He is not the greatest athlete in the world and has a difficoult time remembering things, to a degree. I have given him 11 one half hour lessons so far and have had to teach him every fundamental, feel and movement in the swing. This includes the grip, setup, posture, weight shift, how to use the mind and eyes, pre-shot routine, grip size, and many more aspects of the swing. He is hitting a nine iron 120 yards with a little draw on it and he is a joy to teach.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are my goals and what time, money and effort am I willing to put forth?
