About Amira
Being a native speaker of Arabic, yet at the same time only half Middle Eastern, I've really had a good mix of perspectives on the language and culture. I did not grow up reading and writing Arabic, but due to my love for languages (especially it being my own) I had pushed myself before high school to learn to read and write, as well as to better-speak the language, picking up a few other dialects along the way. Since then, I've decided to put my native fluency to the test, and to minor in Arabic and Middle Eastern studies at VCU, so I may be properly educated on the Arabic grammar. Years down the road, here I am teaching Arabic to other Middle Eastern kids born and raised in the states, tutoring my classmates in Arabic courses at VCU, and offering my knowledge and skills to others who want to learn Arabic!
