About Capriney
Being an Eurasian born and raised in a small town called Bahau, in Negeri Sembilan, I was sent to Chi Wen and acquired an 11-years of Chinese education.
I grew up with a passion for literacy and I was a STPM private candidate who studied on my own and obtained an A- in my Paper 920 Literature in English, and henceforth continued to pursue my degree in Education, majoring in English literature.
On the other hand, being a half-Chinese meant having to grow up surrounded by family members who are fierce protectors of the Chinese cultures and traditions too. However, my fondness towards Chinese literacy and the history of the language was nurtured much later, in my 20's than it ought to back in the schooling days where the results of my exams were depending on it.
I have since then been helping students whose native languages weren't English nor Mandarin to learn the subjects and nurtured their interests in learning, which have indirectly helped them to improve their performance in their exams.
I believe that, to guide and instill the love for learning, is the best support an educator could ever offer to his/her students.

English and Chinese are beautiful languages that bridge us to foreign cultures, histories and people around the world. Besides learning the language, the study of English literature allows us to deepen our critical thinking and analytical skills through the pleasure of reading.
Students get to learn how read and analyse literatures during English lessons and through discussions with tutor.
In PT3, SPM Chinese lessons, students will get to learn and understand more about Chinese culture and traditions through in-depth discussions of poems and ancient Chinese stories.
