About Matthew
Welcome! I am a recent graduate of the Eastman School of Music having completed my master's in Jazz Performance. I completed my undergraduate degrees at SUNY Fredonia in both Jazz Studies as well as Music Education. I have my initial certification from New York State in Music K-12 and have taught all ages of students (9 - 82) ranging from beginners to students pursuing music at the university level. I have always loved teaching and it has been something that I am extremely passionate about. My goal for my students is to identify weaknesses in their playing and tackling those points to achieve better musicianship. I try to make my teaching as student-centered as possible but still guiding students. I am a professional, punctual, and personable teacher who would love to help achieve your goals!
