Hello!
I’m a local 4th grade reading and writing teacher with a passion for literacy. I’ve taught for 5 years and am looking to extend my practice outside of the school. I am certified Early Childhood- 6th grade and ESL.

When working with a new student, I take time to get to know them first. Children are not usually willing to learn until they feel safe and respected. After building a relationship, I figure out their strengths and weaknesses. When conferring with students in class I give them feedback on their “glo” (something they’re doing well), and a “grow” (our next goal to work on. Then we go form there.
