About River
I am a native and fluent English speaker with a passion for literature and language arts. I love reading and my goal is to pass on that love to my students through fun, interactive lessons and positive reinforcement.
I love working with kids. I am a high school student working to become an elementary school teacher; this is my passion. I also grew up five sisters. I genuinely enjoy being around them and I will make sure that my students are happy and enjoying themselves during our lessons.

I like to start our first session with an exercise that helps me to both get to know the student personally as well as to assess their level of skill. I have them either tell me a story about themselves in English (to observe how well they put together sentences on the spot), write one out (to check spelling and grammar), or both.
