About Loretta
I am a Ph.D literary scholar, have 15 years+ classroom teaching and librarian experience at the middle school, high school, undergraduate and graduate level. I can help you learn to write a killer paper and not completely hate writing it. Let's work together!
I love to research, write and teach. The students are the highlight of my day.
I fell in love with teaching when I fell in love with writing. The two practices are intertwined.
I am an experienced teacher and librarian. I have worked at Harvard Westlake and the University of Chicago Lab Schools, the University of Illinois and UCLA. I have a Ph.D in Library Science and a BA and MA in English. I love working with students aged 12+

We talk about goals and breaking them down into manageable chunks. I try to get to know the student, their interests, and how they prefer to work with a tutor.
All types, but I'm especially interested in and experienced with teenagers and college students. I like working with students who don't think they can write, but they're wrong-they can!
