I am excited to help students with composition. I believe in encouraging productive brainstorming and asking important questions on how to approach similar assignments in the future while focusing on grammar, editing, and proper articulation of thoughts.

In the beginning, I spend a little time getting to know the student. For a younger student, I focus on reading. For the student I am currently tutoring, I pick out at least one book, and we will read it together. At the end, I ask analytical words. Then, I focus on sight words and spelling. For young adults and older adults, I focus on spelling, grammar, and sentence structure for assignments. I also emphasis crititcal thinking and relating to the text/prompt as much as possible.
