About Joseph
I have over a year's experience, working with children aged 6-12 and I work within my neighborhood to help anybody who needs lessons, tutoring, writing services or just plain old advice! For instance, I've been teaching my next door neighbor how to play the drums and I'm currently helping another prepare for her upcoming college classes in the Spring.
I'm a self-employed tutor, which means you're paying for a self-motivated worker, an honest tutor who comes back because they enjoyed their client and flexible service hours. And I cost just as much as or less than my counterparts! My independence opens doors for educational guidance based on an individual being tutored and an individual performing the tutoring. Third parties, though useful at times, can often get in the way of an organic learning-tutoring process.
While growing up, I scarcely cared much for learning and never asked for much help because I was afraid of what people would say. If I wasn't fascinated by something, I wouldn't put much effort towards learning more.
During a High School science lecture, my lack of motivation for learning turned into a storm of profound thoughts which lead me towards theoretical physics, economics, philosophy and many other wide-ranging topics. Learning is now a huge passion of mine and teaching is how I show people the beauty of what there is to learn.
One major example of my teaching ability was writing and nearly publishing my Non-fiction book. I'm now working on a surrealist Fiction novel with a few of my friends, with new hopes of achieving goals in my literary career.
My first experience in teaching of any sort was at Cure' of Ars after school care program, during my senior year. 6 years down the line, I've helped people of all ages in my community, teaching about things, ranging from musical instruments to teaching texts, concepts and new developments in Post-Graduate Philosophy and Psychology.
I graduated with an Associates Degree of Liberal Arts from Johnson County Community College, with a GPA of 4.0. I decided to pass on going to a university for further education, due to the cost and lack of spare time after work.

To have a typical process is to have a "typical student" being tutored. In all risk of sounding corny, I see no student as typical. I take a deep breath and prepare for any and all personalities, skillsets and learning curves I can possibly face.
I will work to alter my teaching methods accordingly, so I can best accomodate how I teach for who I teach.
I've helped a variety of people, ranging from folks who couldn't write a sentence properly, all the way down to students who wanted to study the economic utilities and functional spillover effects of Marginal Utility Theory's Supply and Demand curve.
I've found that as long as I try my best and never give up, I can always find a way for things to make sense. My studies in Philosophy have aided me greatly in this field.
I will do my absolute best to set a proper, but also personalized and fun course for your life of learning. There's always more to learn! You'll never know how much is left to learn if you never try or ask for help!
Dumb questions don't exist when I'm your tutor, I've asked all of those for you!
Last month, I was asked to ghost write for a TV pilot being sent to air on Amazon Prime
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is best for my learning experience?
Have I asked what I can do, so I can learn the best I can?
Am I limited in what I can do within my learning path? Is the learning setting too strict for my personal ways of learning things?
How can I improve when I know I'm struggling? What has worked before if I've struggled in the past?
