About Kariss
I have been tutoring for more than seven years. I can tutor all elementary subject areas, as well as middle and high school English. I have also completed all coursework required to teach ESL. I am currently completing my last year of college, where I am earning my education degree.
I have been tutoring for over seven years. I tutor mostly elementary and middle school student, but I have worked with a few high school students. I have also taught classes at my local co-op (homeschool community) and in public schools as a student teacher. I have completed all required coursework for an education degree and an ESL certificate.

If I will be working with a student long-term, I always begin by finding out what they need from me and set goals based on that. I like to set a SMART goal with every student.
I have mostly worked with elementary and middle school students, but I have tutored a few students in high school. I have also worked with ESL students.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I like to set SMART goals with all of my students. A SMART goal is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Ask yourself what you want to gain from tutoring. Do you want more content knowledge? Better study skills? Are you hoping to write more persuasively? If you're not sure, that's okay! I am more than happy to help you determine what your goals are.
