About Nicole
I am a certified special education, elementary, and Spanish teacher with a penchant for learning, knowing, and problem-solving. I live for working with kids and am dedicated to helping them discover an interest in those subjects they perceive to give them the most trouble. My goal is to turn those fears and anxieties around to foster a true love of learning.
I hold two Masters Degrees: one in Curriculum and Instruction from North Park University (completed 2015), and the other in Diversity and Equity in Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (completed in the spring of 2020).
I have taught in a middle school in the Chicago suburbs for the past 9 years and am very well-respected by colleagues, administrators, and the community-at-large. I understand the unique challenges of learning in 2020 and am here to help your student get past that to thrive in their classes.
