About Joshua
I am an experienced tutor who helps my students truly understand the material. I take the time to understand each student individually, identify strengths and weaknesses, and use those to guide the student.
I love when students make connections between different topics and develop the skills and confidence to communicate their thoughts to others. That is the heart of academia!
I got started teaching in College, where I tutored junior students and taught elementary school.
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the area of clinical psychology. This means I have completed the vast majority of the requirments for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, with the exception of the dissertations. I have completed advanced coursework, defended the dissertation proposal, and passed any qualifying examinations. I have also completed a Masters degree in research psychology.

The first session is a discussion, between the student and me, about their academic struggles and goals. This helps me identify areas to focus the tutoring on. From there, we begin with lessons tailored to each student's specific needs.
