About Thembi
I'm a graduate student from Applachian State University studying education. I have tutored (professionally) for several years, most exceptionally with Kaplan. I have loads of experience in many subjects.

I worked for Kaplan, Inc. for several years as both a test prep tutor as well as a traditional tutor for students ages 2 to 18. I have served as a camp counselor for both 4-H and The Salvation Army.

My intial lesson is very, very introductory. I like to assess how much the student knows and what exactly should be covered over the course of the tutoring. Also, I like generally introducing the topic in the initial lesson to improve future understanding.

I'm a big athletics fan and I was really involved with the Appalachian State University football team while I served as a campus dining assistant during the Fall semester this year. I really enjoyed watching the App State football squad defeat Troy State at the game in September.
