I liked the fact that she incorporates all the drum techniques, visually, verbally,& physically. She takes her time teaching you different drum Rudiments to Exercise the techniques in a fun, easy way to learn. If you haven’t grasped a technique?! No big deal, she took the time out off the clock, to help me focus on my weaker areas until I felt comfortable to move forward.

From a parents aspect, I appreciate how Rachel embodies the importance of being a musician first and a drummer second. She focuses on music theory, rudiments, snare techniques, culture, and the drum set and really tailors her students’ interest and builds their skills on the genre they want to learn. Each lesson is built on what the student learned in the previous lesson and she chimes in on weaknesses to improve the skill set. She’s extremely engaging, passionate and is outgoing. She’s very positive and optimistic, encouraging and teaches discipline and is consistent. Most of all, her prices are affordable!
