The skills and concepts I learned & developed with David are things I apply both in my playing and with my students. I can't recommend him enough.

David was the consummate professional who helped to teach me how to be an individual and who assisted my growth in music exponentially as an adolescent. He even came to my school to help me learn within the confines of the school band which helped me more than he knew. He was always patient and kind despite me being a very trying kid most of the time. He helped me through humor and by maintaining his positive boundaries. I grew in so many more ways than just musically and I have David to thank for a lot of it. He has been a great role model, and wonderful friend, for me throughout my life.

David is a talented professional musician and teacher with UNT pedigree (University of North Texas at Denton is arguably the top Jazz school in the country). David uses a well rounded approach to teaching where he emphasizes working on; hands (rudiments) foot control, rythmic patterns, reading and musicality.
