About Mary
Art is an exploration of oneself. It is a gift I like sharing with others to help achieve confidence in themselves while also creating something they can keep or share with others.
I consider my talents a gift, and want share the knowledge I have attained over the past 25 plus years. I've had many wonderful instructors over the course of my life and hope to work with more. I feel we never stop learning , and I'm constantly inspired by other artist. Yes I did go to College but unfortunately did graduate. (Planning on returning)
I have painted many pieces on commission and now paint /sketch pieces to sell.
I like creating pieces for my own enjoyment as well as for others.(Such a sense of accomplishment once I finish a difficult piece) Helping individuals have there "light bulb " moment is such a fulfilling and rewarding experience. Art can also be an amazing healing experience as well.
It's also a great way to have moments without news, phones ringing, social media , and constant messaging. Everyone needs these quiet moments from time to time to stay centered and grounded.
Actually I haven't been necessarily "teaching" long. Just something I've recently started doing.
My education relating to art has been through numerous instructors since I was 8 yrs old to about 20 years old. Yes I attended college for an art related degree but did not finish school. I have created, painted ,and sold many pieces commissioned by individuals. I am in the process of figuring out how to back to school to obtain an Art related degree.

Definitely getting to know the individual through conversation and what they are wanting to achieve. View some of there work and go from that point. FaceTime or skype if they are more than 30 mins away. If closer geographically I can find a meeting place in which to work.
A wonderful lady was having difficulty in a certain area and I was able to help her see her how to stop stressing over it and just go with the flow. If you ever think to hard about an area you've lost the enjoyment of creating
