From day one almost two years ago, each lesson with SharqiDance has been full of quality, inspiring, and strengthening inside and out, dance lessons. Yame encourages body positivity. Not only that, there is a focus on overall mental, emotional, and physical health. I thought I was signing up for middle eastern dance lessons when in reality I have learned so much more about myself and my body. Since learning this dance I've been enlightened to culture, music, and movement. Through SharqiDance I've found some of my closest friends, inspiration to pursue my own female owned business, and I appreciate and my body, mind, and heart all thanks to Yame and SharqiDance. Always starts class on time. Always does a warm up and cool down for each class. Each move is broken down and students are able to focus on that move until they are comfortable enough to try the next level/variation of it. Yame always tries to bring something new to the class so there's always going to be something interesting to learn.

Yamê is not only passionate about bellydance as an art form, but also as a way to fall in love with your body and sensuality all over again. She is patient and also challenges you to learn. I recommend her as a knowledgeable and fun bellydance instructor.

She is a superb caliber teacher. Learning with her is a treat that I cannot equate to almost anything else. She is super dedicated, exacting but without putting any stress on me, and in fact very caring that if I am hurting, I should not only take a break, but follow sound healing principles, and not have to worry about losing my payment while resting. Yâme is an amazing dancer and teacher. She is very patient, creative but what I really like the most is that she is very generous. She does not hold any information and in fact she goest the extra mile providing for her students in depth information about the culture, rhythms, songs, singers, language. She has the greatest ideas all the time to keep her students engaged. Her enthusiasm is contagious!
