About Bryan
I have always been passionate about teaching and cooking. It wasn't until I became a sushi chef that I started to combine the two. Now, my life is dedicated to teaching others the skills that I know.
My teaching ability is not limited to just cooking, though. I also have years of teaching experience in: video game design, curriculum development, combat choreography, fire spinning/circus arts, and entreprenuership.
I have 10 years of experience working as a professional sushi chef. I have taught over 239 people how to roll sushi in the past 3 years and I have trained 6 chefs to go onto becoming professional sushi chefs. I have experience managing a restaurant, opening a new restaurant, consulting for a restaurant, and I currently run my own sushi business ((concealed information)
I also teach corporate training events and a few of my clients include: Venmo, Coffee Slingers OKC, Rise Coworking, Norman Public Library, and Midwest City Library.

At first I like to sit down with the student and figure out their specific goals and needs. Does my student have a preferred learning style (visual, audio, kinestetic, etc.)?
Then we will discuss my student's availability and desired frequency for taking lessons.
Afterwards we will setup a lesson schedule and learning track. In many cases, the desired skill or end product cannot be accomplished within a single lesson - but if I can be done we will certainly shoot for that!
I have worked with a broad spectrum of ages and prior experiences. From teaching children how to program video games to teaching adults how to carve fruit or spin fire, I promise that I have the ability to teach you regardless of your age or prior experiences.
Find someone who not only has years of professional experience, but also someone who is passionate about teaching. There are lots of people who can teach and lots of people who are good at what they do, but to find someone who has both of those qualities is increasingly rare.
I recently did a corporate training class for Rise Coworking in Moore, OK. We had 12 attendees and learned how to make 2 different sushi roll recipes. The event was so much fun and everyone got to make additional rolls to take home with them at the end of the night. There were a few professional photographers that were taking the class and they captured some amazing photos of the event.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The more specific your goals are for the lessons the better. In my case, I would love to know exactly what you're looking to learn. Whether that's how to cook a specific dish or learn a particular aspect of video game design. Do you want to learn how to spin fire with a particular prop or just become more comfortable being that close to fire? Be as detailed as you can! That which is measured is improved.

Details
My standard rate is $100/hr if I teach at my students house. If we do the lesson at my office kitchen, the rate it $150/hr. My office kitchen is located in Rise Coworking in Moore, OK.
