Years of study with Leon Russianoff, Donald Carroll and Kal Opperman. Trained at Interlochen Summer Music Camp with Fred Ormand, Jack Ratteree and Sidney Forrest.
Taught chorale and instrumental ensemble work at La Hermosa Christian Church, 110th Street and Fifth Avenue, NYC.
Taught Clarinet, chorale and instrumental music in Berlin, Germany and American Community church.
Studied Pedagogy at New York University, earning an Advance Certificate Teaching English as a Second Language.
Performed Arnold Bax Clarinet Sonata, Brahms Trio, Brahms Clarinet Sonatas at British Consulate, Berlin Germany and Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont.

Tone production has to do with breathing. We teach breathing technique by using a reading aloud exercise to begin the lesson. Shakespeare for starters.
I have worked with children age 11 through young adults in their 20s.
Keep an open mind. Be prepared to keep a journal to summarize what your teacher imparts at each lesson. It pays off later on.
Attending a performance of Brahms Symphony No. 2 by the San Francisco Symphony. The final 10 minutes are my favorite 10 minutes of music. Such power and inspiration.
