About Amaya
I am a nursing student with a passion of helping others. Being a student, I understand the academic struggle. I am proficient in language arts, English, chemistry, algebra and statistics.
I believe that knowledge and understanding can build confidence. I find joy in tutoring others because I'm able to help someone with something they were struggling in, as well as build confidence in a subject that they were once uncertain about.
I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in nursing degree; so I am very familiar and skilled in English, math and science.

My typical proccess when working with a new student is to get to know who the student is as a person, in addition to their learning style. From there, I create and present strategies and techniques specific to the student's learning style in order for the student to understand the concept fully.

Amaya was very attentive. She made sure that I understood every concept. I was struggling in Stats and Chem and with her help, I passed both classes with an A. She is very helpful and is definitely the only tutor I will go to from now on.
