About Erica
I am currently pursuing an MS in biotechnoloyg from Johns Hopkins. I graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 2018 with a B.S. in Biology and Biochemsitry with minors in neuroscience and Asian studies. I graduated cum laude with aspirations to pursue a medical degree. I was a teaching assistant and laboratory assistant over the course of my four years in college for Principles of Biology I, General Chemsitry II, Organic Chemsitry I, and Biochemistry I. I was also hired as a Desousa Brent Scholar Tutor for Chemistry and Organic Chemsitry.
I am passionate about mentoring students in the classroom and I strive for a lifttime of learning. I typically encourage a one-on-one setting to tutor students and I often review the course material beforehand. For chemistry and biology tutoring I often convey the material by first going over practice problems and then discussing the method of thinking to find the answers.
