About Ryan
At the school Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, be build each other up. Working with my instructors gave me a basic working knowledge which I have been asked to help teach the other students, both adult and kids. I have a good grasp on the basics of both Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which I love teaching to anyone who wants to learn.
I have 10 years boxing experience.
I have been training in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for 5 years.

We work on the basics. First, we show respect. Second, we will learn when it is ok to defend our selfs. Third questions are always welcome. We are always kind, polite, respectful, and helpful to everyone. Assertive when the situation dictates the need to be.
With boxing we will work on your stance, and foot work, first. Then how to hold your guard. Once we have your guard up we will learn how to jab, cross, hook, upper cut and how to throw overhand punches. We then learn how to take a punch, on our shields or by deflection. Next we will learn how to perry, slip, roll and pivot to avoid punches. Then comes the fun stuff we will learn to find and keep our range. In, middle and out fighting.
Brizillan Jiu-Jitsu, is and will ever be The Gentle Art. We will work on attacks, defences and sweeps in all the major positions, standing, mount, side control, back, knees, north/south.
I have worked with a wide range of ages 5yr to 50+. Some with disabilities.
There are lessons which we can learn from every one. Positive and negative. I encourage you to be open minded. Remember you choose your instructor, communication is vital to a working relationship.
The best feeling in the world, is struggleing with a move or a position. Draining all your thoughts, emotions and energy into completing it properly, and then failing. Failing over and over and over, but never completely giving up. Then one time you get it right, then again. After consistently getting it right, you begain to prefect it, and see the other possibilities which arise.

Details
Open to negotiations.
Individual person rate is $30 an hour.
Group rate is standard $10 per person. Plus the $30 hourly rate.
Travel and expenses are subtracted from wages. No additional fee will be applied unless I have to travel over 50 miles. Then travel and housing expenses may be applied.
