About Muhammad

i have done Bachelor in Agriculture with major Plant Breeding and Genetics followed by masters in Molecular Biology. i have expertise in writing research proposal, thesis, research reports, synopsis and research summaries in the field of Biology Sciences. being a research associate and lecturare i have thrre year teaching eexperience in oper level classes.

Volunteer Work:

Working in wheat genetic Lab at Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics at UAF in a HEC project. During my B.Sc., I worked voluntarily at Molecular Genetics Lab. Working in a project titled as “Determination of Association of Haplotypes and expression level of OsPTF1 with phosphorus use efficiency in Rice” is a project of HEC (Higher Education Commission, Pakistan).

1) Selfing and crossing of wheat and cotton crops.

2) Screening of wheat accessions against stripe rust at NARC, Pakistan

Technical skills: Agricultural Skills

Crop cultivation: Seed Sowing, Irrigation, Application of Fertilizer, Crop protection, Harvesting and Data Collection. Breeding: Selfing of different Crops, i.e., Cotton and Maize. Crossing of different crops i.e. Wheat Rice, and Cotton. Experimental Design: CRD, RCBD, LSD, two and three factor factorial, split plot design, split split plot design. Statistics analysis: Analysis of variance and co-variance, Generation Mean Analysis, full half and partial Diallels, Line X tester cross, Tukey test. Hybrid Technology: inbred line, hybridization, Heresies Genetic and additive variance. Biotechnology skills Molecular Biology: Recombinant DNA Technology i.e. DNA/RNA/Plasmid isolation, Primer designing, PCR (conventional, Gradient, nested and Real-time), Cloning, Western Blot, Southern Blot. Biochemistry: Thin layer chromatography, Recombinant protein expression and purification, ELISA. Microbiology: Basic microbiology techniques (Microscopy, Media preparation, Culturing, Biochemical Characterization, Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing etc.), Fungal culture, Mycobacterium Tuberculosis culture, All Routine Work of Microbiology Lab. Bioinformatics: BLAST, Primer designing, protein docking, ExPASY, ProtParam tool. Bibliography: EndNote X9, Mendeley.
