Coach Luke is amazing! My oldest son, 8 years old, is determined to work on his baseball skills so he can be ready for next season. A friend introduced us to Luke so we thought to give hitting lessons a chance. I was worried that my kid wouldn’t be into baseball since it’s technically “off-season” but after one lesson with Coach there was no looking back. Luke’s approach was patient, encouraging, and effective. My son really took on to him. As a rookie baseball parent I didn’t know what to expect but to see my son so engaged was a blessing. The drills and explanations on “why” things are done a certain way were just the right balance. After one lesson you could see the improvement. We are now a few lessons in and every week my son continues to improve.

I think the sign of a good coach isn’t always what you see during the one on one instruction, but also what happens when the child goes home. My son now always wants to practice what he has learned. That itself makes me proud.

Another indicator of a good coach is what that coach does to improve his knowledge of physical fitness. Last week I received a text from Coach telling me he was recently certified to do mobility screenings and asked if he could extend his lesson with my son to incorporate that into his training. That attention to detail is everything I was looking for to help my kid.
