About Dylan
I am a former college baseball player and I am just looking to help kids out now by giving lessons. I played four years of college baseball at the Junior College and then Division 2 level. I was a stand out catcher and won All-NorCal Catcher in 2016 and was a Pre-season All American in 2017. My strengths were being a defensive catcher and taking pride in knowing that my pitchers were comfortable with me behind the plate. Offensively I was never a power hitter and I strive to teach hitters to be consistent and have a swing that will produce results. I also preach the mental game of baseball as I know that this is the key to succeeding in this game. I look forward to working with you!
I enjoy making a difference and helping kids to learn the game of baseball. I have learned a lot from the mistakes I made in this game and I am striving to help kids to avoid those same mistakes. I really want to set kids up for success.
During college I really had a passion to want to help teach this game. I noticed that baseball is a sport not as many kids are interested in, so I am hoping to change that. I have seen the lack of quality coaching in this game as well and I am hoping that I can teach kids the right way to play the game.
I have played baseball from the age of 6 all the way through 4 years of college. I have seen what makes the differences in good players and mediocore players. I have learned from many mistakes I made as a player and I am striving to help kids be able to rise above these mistakes.

I really want to learn everyone that I work with. I always take the same approach to when I was learning how to work with a pitcher. I want to find what helps YOU personally rather than just have a cookie-cutter approach. Everyone is different and learns in different ways and that's what makes baseball the best game in the world.
I have worked with several catchers in the age group of 12-16. I worked with them where I attended school and have since moved back to CO, so I am looking for new students to work with.
You need to know what your wants and needs are. Not all coaches and players are going to mesh the same, so you have to know what it is you're looking for. I got stuck in a program where I had differing approaches to the game as some of the coaches and that is not a fun problem to have.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students need to know what they want and where they are. Are you a power or contact hitter? Are you at the right position? What level do you want to play at?

I had the best personal coach growing up who always told me to just "pay it forward" and that is my goal with lessons. If you can afford to pay me then you can choose to do so, but if money is tight and you cannot afford to, I am more than willing to "pay it forward" and work with kids just the same.
