About Widad
I am a senior at VCU studying elementary education. I have previous years of experience with student teaching, substituting part time in public schools, and tutoring. I was a biomedical engineering major for three years initially. Becasue of this I have an extensive background in math, science, and physics. I love what I do and love to work with students to help achieve their goals!
I have student taught in the classroom setting, tutored privatley and for VCU, and am currently a student aid for an elementary school. I also am a part time substitute for a public school county in Virginia. I have passed my Praxis exam and VCLA exam (teaching examination requirements for Virginia)

Typically I like to get to know my new student a litte, and have them get to know me. I like to listen to their studying strategies; what they like, dont like, and how they learn best.
I have worked with children, middle school aged teens, and high school teens. I have worked with children in inner city schools, private schools, and schools with specializations. I have worked with children with IEP plans, and those that are homeschooled.
