About Reggie
I started teaching because I lived in a place where people showed interest, but didn't have an instructor. I was asked and invited to guest teach, guest speak, and to take over a private teaching program as well as teaching students in a charter school.
I started by just jumping into stage acting and from there I took various aspects of training; acting for the stage, acting for the camera, commercial work, print, voice over, improv, scene studies, character backstory and development, as well as professionalism on set.

When working with individual students, I prefer to get to know them to find out what they're looking for so we're growing in the same direction so then we can begin with an understanding of the craft and grow from there.
My students have ranged in age from six to 82 and we've always had a great time learning and growing together!
Find someone you connect with who will help you to grow. Ensure they have book as well as practical knowledge of what you're looking for and that they understand the direction you want to go.
I received a phone call from a local theatre at 9am on opening night of a musical and they asked me if I would consider playing one of the supporting characters because the actor (who was playing the character they called me about) was in the hospital. I accepted the role, was sent the script and music to review, and by 4pm I was working with the musical director while the costume department put together my character's clothes, and by 5pm I was on stage with the director going over my blocking. The curtains went up at 8pm and, with the assistance of the entire cast, opening night was outstanding! I remained in the role for the entire run of the show!

I keep my one-on-one pricing at a low hourly rate in order to allow individuals the ability to take classes and to continue growing. A classroom setting with more than one student during a session can be discussed and worked out before lessons begin.
