About Katherine
I am an NYC based actor and director, and graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London.
I have coached actors for over 5 years: my students have booked recurring roles on TV and won places at drama schools in the US and the UK.
I also work closely with a number of casting offices and know what it's like to be on the other side of the audition!
I love to help with upcoming auditions, monologues, finding material for drama schools, and accent work.
I have particularly extensive experience coaching actors on Shakespeare and text in verse!
I have been coaching acting for over 5 years, I have worked with all ages and all levels of experience: absolute beginners, drama school applicants, and professional actors working on film and TV!
My students have booked recurring roles on TV and won places at drama schools in the US and the UK.
I have also taught at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I received my BA in Acting, teaching current students and summer school sessions.

It's important for me to establish right away what the student wants to achieve in our lessons, if there is an end goal in sight or something to work towards.
Whether we're working on dialects, classical text, or sides for an upcoming audition I make sure that the lesson plans and goals are defined and attainable, so that the student can always see where we're going in our work and their progress is visible to them!
I work hard to get to know the student's individual style, passions, and instincts, as well as making sure I'm paying attention to strengths we can develop and weaknesses to work on.
I like to provide my students with materials and resources that they can go away and choose from, so that we are always working with text which is fun and exciting for them!
I've worked with a variety of ages and levels of experience, I enjoy introducing brand new students to the very basics, working on monologues for drama school auditions, and work most regularly with working professionals who need help preparing self tapes, sides, and scenes for their next day on set!
My advice to students is to try out as many teachers as they need to in order to get a sense of each person's style. Every coach or tutor will have a slightly different apprach and I encourage you to find the best fit for you!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It's best when students have a clear sense of what they would like to work on or achieve- even if it's a general sense of the type of material which interests them, it gives us a diretion to go in!
