20 years experience in television, film, Broadway, off-Broadway, regional, tours, VO and commercial acting. Multiple awards including the LA Ovation Award, the AEA Charles Derwent Award, the Theatre World Award, and nominations for the Drama Desk, Drama League, Lucille Lortel, etc.
Teaching masterclasses, workshops and coachings with students of all skill levels (from children to seasoned professionals) since 2014. Professor of acting and musical theatre at Fullerton College and Loyola Marymount University since 2020.

I've facilitated master classes for children, high school and college theatre programs for over 10 years as a natural offshoot of my performance career in New York City. More recently, I began teaching at the college level while shifting my focus away from long-running live theatre productions and, rather, towards TV/film/commercial work in Los Angeles.
Diploma in drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, BFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory, MFA in Performance Pedagogy from Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles), as well as an online teaching certification from the state of California and certification in Somatic Voicework (the LoVetri Method) for training singers in Contemporary Commercial Music.

I start with a free 30-min consultation to access exactly what the students' goals are and create an action proposal – whether we're starting from the ground up, dusting off old skills, or sharpening professional-level instincts!
All levels, all ages, all types. Although, I specialize in professional readiness (even with first-time actors).
Check their credentials. Not all great teachers have substantial performance careers; however, I would be wary of any acting teachers who have never performed in any professional capacity.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are your immediate goals (i.e. I need to learn how to analyze scripts) and long-term goals (i.e. I want to work on major TV/film projects in leading or supporting roles)?
How much time do you want to spend to realize those goals (i.e. once a week, once month, etc.)?

Josh is extremely specific in his direction. He gets right to the point and provides the tools you need to flesh out your song and monologue and deliver a polished performance. His sessions are always positive and you will leave with more confidence in your material -and yourself -than when you arrived.
Josh is the best of the best when it comes to coaching. I’ve worked with him several times. Specifically on callback sides. He helped me to achieve a greater confidence when approaching the material. Yes, $25 for 30 mins and $40 for 60 mins.
In-studio visits and virtual Zoom sessions have no additional fees, however traveling to the student (up to 15 miles) invokes an additional $15 travel fee.
