About Forida
I am a qualified teacher with 12 years of teaching experience, working with children and young people across a range of ages and abilities.
I have a BA (Hons) degree in History from Queen Mary University of London and completed my PGCE at UCL Institute of Education. Throughout my teaching career, I have developed extensive experience in planning engaging lessons, supporting pupils with different learning needs and helping students build confidence in their reading, writing and communication skills.
As an experienced classroom teacher, I understand how to break learning down into manageable steps, identify gaps in understanding and adapt my teaching to suit the individual child. My lessons are supportive but purposeful, with a strong focus on helping pupils make genuine progress while enjoying their learning.

My lessons are friendly, engaging and tailored to each child’s individual needs and confidence level. I support children with reading, comprehension, spelling, grammar, vocabulary and creative writing, helping them to strengthen the core literacy skills they need for school.
Creative writing sessions focus on developing ideas, using ambitious vocabulary, improving sentence structure and creating interesting characters, settings and stories. For reading and comprehension, I help pupils understand texts more deeply, retrieve information and explain their ideas clearly.
As an experienced teacher, I use structured activities, modelling and plenty of encouragement so that children understand how to improve, rather than simply completing worksheets. Lessons can also be adapted to support areas identified by your child’s school or to provide extra challenge for confident learners.
