About Kristel
I graduated from the University of St Andrews with an MA (Hons) German and Russian with a Distinction in Spoken German in 2019 and am now pursuing a career as a professional opera singer, having recently graduated from the David Seligman Opera School at the RWCMD in Cardiff. I'm currently working online for a language school in Switzerland where I prepare students for language exams for visa purposes as well as professionals who need to improve their language skills for work reasons. I have experience teaching adult learners and children (GCSE and A-Level): My students' profiles include: - those aiming for an A* and Oxbridge studies and need to be challenged more than what their school can offer them - those who struggle either with the language itself or with other special needs such as concentration issues or dyslexia - those learning the target language to better communicate with their partner who is a native speaker of this language - those preparing for naturalisation tests

Having previously worked as a substitute teacher in various subjects for students aged 6-16, I am able to adapt my teaching style to the particular student's and subject's requirements. I’ve had a great experience learning danish with Kristel! She is great at explaining the grammar and pronunciation and her lessons have always been varied and entertaining!
Kristel is a totally trustworthy tutor, she is reliable and extremely patient! She has helped me very much in my journey to learning danish!
Having worked with Kristel for almost 8 years, I can assure you you won't regret choosing her as a tutor: Not only are her language skills brilliant, but she is also an outgoing and approachable person, always happy to help others and share her knowledge with them. Kristel always spoke very fondly of her time as a substitute teacher at a local school and it is clear to me that she enjoys teaching.
Kristel is a knowledgeable, patient, and affable tutor who on multiple occasions has proof-read my essays, improving both my language skills and the clarity of my writing style. She is a hard-working individual who can express and explain things in a simple yet comprehensive manner while at the same time making the learning experience engaging and fun. The combination of Kristel's academic and practical experience of German (from her year abroad in Vienna) makes her a valuable and very helpful tutor.
Kristel was a top German student at her International Baccalaureate Diploma and since pursued the language at University.
