About Lucas
I am an experienced teacher in singing, music theory, and basic piano and guitar for beginners with a passion for educating and uplifting aspiring musicians. Additionally, as an Opera Singer with a professional career spanning over 10 years in Colombia, I have experience in the world of musical theatre, singing and acting in operas, musicals and zarzuelas. I am keen to contribute to building your musical abilities, not only to prepare you with in-depth knowledge and skills for examinations and grades, but also as a future artists in the industry on stage and in live concerts, should you aspire to this. I have a warm and friendly approach to teaching, as well as being able to intuitively adapt my teaching style to suit your needs and find gentle and varied ways of explaining concepts. With a Bachelor of Music and Education and over 5 years of teaching experience, I provide lessons to students of all ages from 10 years and upwards.
Lesson duration ranges from 30-50 minutes, depending on your needs.
My teaching is informed by the Suzuki, K Heizmann, Orff and Vaccaj methodologies. I use the following techniques to help you achieve your singing goals:
- Understanding the physiology of singing (e.g., posture, diaphragmatic breath control, role of relaxation, vocal registers).
- Fun and engaging warm-up and preparatory techniques (e.g., scales, five-tone count, lip trill).
- Integrating music games and technology to train the ear and encourage sight reading and the understanding of pitch.

Perfect! Very friendly, warm personality, of course great voice! I think Lucas nicely builds trust, so you can let yourself free to sing in front of him. Already showed me some tricks that improved my singing immediately. (Still long to go ) I have signed up for regular online classes with Lucas and I can just recommend his lessons.
