About Josh
I am a dedicated and passionate music tutor with over 5 years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and abilities. I hold Grade 8 in saxophone and Grade 7 in piano, and I attended the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Conservatoire Junior Course for both instruments. As an active performer, I have played with jazz combos, big bands, and function groups, bringing real-world experience into my teaching. My goal is to create lessons that are engaging, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs, helping them develop strong musicianship skills and confidence in their playing

My approach is fully tailored to each student’s level, age, and goals. I focus on building strong musicianship skills through a combination of music theory, diverse repertoire, and listening exercises. Lessons are engaging and structured to keep you motivated, whether you’re preparing for exams, exploring new styles, or playing for enjoyment. I have over 5 years of teaching experience, working with students aged 5 to 65+, from complete beginners to Grade 8 level. Typical lesson length is usually 1 hour, though shorter 30-minute sessions are available for younger learners or those who prefer a more focused approach
