About Tanya
I’m a psychosomatic practitioner and consultant, and the creator of the Psychosomatic Restoration Method.
My work brings together somatic awareness, parts work, nervous system education and a systemic understanding of how our personal histories, relationships and environments shape our experiences.
My professional training includes Somatic Experiencing (currently in training), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, trauma-informed approaches developed by Janina Fisher, and Family Constellation work (currently in training).
Before developing my own practice, I worked internationally across several industries, including travel, marketing and digital communications. I’ve lived and worked in Canada, Australia, the UK and Germany, and continue to work with clients around the world entirely online.
I began my practice in psychosomatic work and later expanded into coaching and consultation. Today, I work primarily with adults navigating complex relationships, professional responsibilities, chronic stress and significant life changes.
I’m particularly interested in the space between understanding ourselves and actually experiencing something different. After all, knowing why we do something doesn’t necessarily make it any easier to change.
My work is educational and consultative rather than clinical, and I am not a licensed psychotherapist.

I work primarily with self-aware adults, professionals and entrepreneurs navigating high levels of stress, responsibility, complicated personal or professional relationships, and major life transitions.
Many of the people I work with already have a great deal of self-awareness, empathy and social attunement. They understand their patterns and can explain why they respond the way they do. Yet despite all that understanding, they still feel stuck, find themselves repeating familiar dynamics or experience ongoing physical symptoms.
People come to me for different reasons. Some want to develop better boundaries, navigate difficult relationships or learn to express themselves more clearly. Others are dealing with chronic stress, fatigue, migraines, back pain, digestive issues or other recurring physical symptoms they want to better understand.
I particularly enjoy working with self-employed people, business owners, creatives, freelancers and professionals who are building something new or navigating significant periods of change. People who want to become more adaptable, resilient and able to remain grounded when life becomes unpredictable.
My approach is psychosomatic, meaning we explore the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, physical experiences and the ways you’ve learned to navigate the world.
Rather than focusing exclusively on changing behaviors, managing symptoms or finding solutions, we’re interested in understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and how those patterns are experienced in the present.
I draw on somatic awareness, parts work, nervous system education and relational approaches, but I don’t follow a fixed formula or decide in advance where a session should go.
These sessions are for personal development and education and are not a substitute for psychotherapy or medical treatment.
