About Timothy

I am a middle-aged father of three adult children who have all achieved great A-level results in the last few years. I am passionate about teaching Psychology, having transitioned to the subject from Philosophy & Ethics over 10 years ago. I am an approachable and friendly person and enjoy one-to-one interactions with young people.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is to identify any gaps in knowledge or weaknesses in exam skills and focus sessions on filling these gaps. This is achieved by talking through difficult concepts until the student feels confident that they have achieved a good level of understanding. Regarding exam skills, I often work through past papers with students, giving them effective strategies for avoiding common errors and maximising marks.
