About Matthew
Throughout high school I was given the opportunity to be taught by some amazing Brisbane jazz trumpet players like Darren Skaar and Brad Esbensen. I spent six years performing with Queensland Youth Orchestra's, and subsequently joined Brisbane Brass, Queensland Winds and Brass, and a number of smaller ensembles like Squids Theatre and local Brisbane bands. In my last year of high school I attained my Associate of Music on trumpet and Diploma of Speech and Drama.

My name’s Matthew Muller and I’ve been playing the trumpet for close to 15 years. I have experience in Terrace jazz/concert band, Queensland Youth Orchestra, Queensland Winds and Brass, Brisbane Brass, Squids Theatre, and various local Brisbane acts. Over the last two years, I’ve been privately tutoring students and have had the wonderful opportunity to be involved in their development. Students who could barely make a sound when I started with them are now taking their first exams, playing their favourite movie soundtracks, and joining orchestras.
I’d like to extend an offer of private tutoring to any aspiring beginner trumpet players looking to begin their journey into the world of music.
I am able to tutor both in person and over webcam.
My rate is $40 for a 30m lesson, $50 for a 45m lesson and $60 for an hour.

Mat is super patient and very talented. It doesn't matter what level you're at, he will help you improve, even if you've never held a trumpet before. And i can guarantee you'll have fun while at it. overall an excellent teacher in my opinion.
