About Amelia

I am an experienced professional tutor, having enjoyed a career in communications and publishing for prestigious organisations such as Oxford University Press and the Society of Antiquaries of London.

Alongside my professional experience, I have an M.Phil in Modern History from Bristol University, as well as a First Class MA from St Andrews University, studying Art History, History, and Philosophy. I was awarded medals in all four years of study, as well as achieving the top grade in both my History and Philosophy courses. I feel creativity combined with a logical approach to learning is extremely important whatever the subject, and I help students not only with content - but also their approach to study.

About the lesson

I`m a friendly, calm and kind teacher who will personalise lessons to meet your individual requirements - believing that every single learner is different. I also pride myself on offering honest feedback and recommending alternative educational resources/approaches should I feel they be necessary.

I am available for tutoring (both online and in person) in humanities subjects such as English (including EFL), History, Philosophy, and History of Art, as well as help with 11+ preparation, editing personal statements and academic essays.
