About Lauren
I’m a qualified primary school teacher with over 10 years’ experience working with children. During my teaching career, I have also worked as an Assistant Headteacher and English Lead, giving me a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and how children learn best.
Teaching has always been about much more than academic results for me. I love helping children grow in confidence, recognise what they’re capable of and experience that lovely moment when something they previously found difficult suddenly clicks.
I’m patient, friendly and encouraging, and I understand that every child learns differently. I aim to create a relaxed environment where children feel completely comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and having a go.
I particularly enjoy making learning creative and engaging, and I genuinely love seeing children leave a lesson feeling happier and more confident than when they arrived.

I believe children make the most progress when they feel happy, confident and understood. My lessons are warm, engaging and tailored to each child’s individual needs, whether they need extra support, a confidence boost or an additional challenge.
As an experienced primary school teacher and English Lead, I have taught children across the primary age range and understand the expectations of the National Curriculum. I can support children with English, Maths, reading, writing, phonics and SATs preparation.
I take time to identify each child’s strengths and any areas they find tricky, then plan enjoyable, focused lessons that help them make progress without feeling overwhelmed. I use plenty of encouragement and adapt my teaching style to suit the individual child.
Most importantly, I want children to finish their lessons feeling proud of themselves and believing, “I can do this!”🩷
