About Kathleen
I'm a Primary School Teacher from London with 5+ years experience in a Primary school setting.
I have worked with all Primary school ages but would say that I can be used effectively for my English and phonic knowledge in regards to Early Years and KS1. I understand the importance of individual needs and have experience recognising and adapting teaching methods to appeal to my students. I also have experience delivering phonics screening tests and assessing children.
As a current Year 1 teacher I understand how difficult and daunting transitions can be. I can help children prepare for the next academic year to ensure that they are confident in their learning.
I am aware of the current curriculum expectations and can deliver helpful lessons to help your child become much more independent.
I have also worked with EAL (English as an Additional Language) children across primary and secondary age. Although I am most experienced in working with children, I am also comfortable teaching adults if you need any help.
