I have a structured approach that is tailored to the individual needs of each student. I will assess each student's skill level and musical goals, and then develop a personalized lesson plan that includes appropriate exercises, pieces, and theory concepts.
I try to foster a positive and encouraging learning environment and provide regular feedback and support to my student; like celebrating successes, identifying areas for improvement, and providing guidance on how to address any challenges!

  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

I developed an interest in teaching music as a kid. My piano teacher was a significant influence on me, and I admired how she brought out the best in her students and made learning music fun and engaging. It was then that I realized that I wanted to become a music teacher myself. As I pursued my education and training in music, I became even more passionate about teaching. I saw firsthand the impact that music education can have on a person's life, developing musical skills and building confidence, fostering creativity, and promoting social and emotional well-being. Today, as a music teacher, I feel incredibly fortunate to share my love of music with my students and help them discover the joy and beauty of creating and performing music.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

As a piano teacher, I am passionate about teaching this instrument for several reasons. Firstly, the piano allows for a wide range of musical expression, and I take pride in helping my students discover their unique voices. Secondly, teaching piano will enable me to build strong relationships with my students, offering support and encouragement as they progress on their musical journey. Finally, teaching piano is a way for me to contribute to the cultural landscape and pass on the tradition of this instrument to a new generation of musicians, whether they pursue music as a career or as a lifelong hobby.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

As a tutor, I enjoy seeing my students grow and succeed in their learning. It is enriching to be a part of a student's journey, to witness their progress, and to know that I have played a role in helping them achieve their academic goals. What makes me a "Superprof" is my ability to connect with my students on a personal level and create a positive and engaging learning environment. Effective tutoring requires subject expertise, excellent communication skills, patience, and a willingness to adapt to each student's unique needs and learning style. I strive to create a safe and supportive space for my students to learn and grow, and I am always looking for ways to improve my teaching methods and better serve my students. Ultimately, what makes me a "Superprof" is my passion for teaching and commitment to helping my students reach their full potential.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

I had a piano teacher in my childhood who profoundly impacted my life and inspired me to pursue a career in music education. She was a patient, kind, and knowledgeable teacher with a passion for teaching and a love of music. I admired how she connected with her students, made learning fun and engaging, and brought out the best in each of us. Her dedication and enthusiasm for music education were contagious, and I knew from a young age that I wanted to follow in her footsteps and become a piano tutor myself. Today, as a piano teacher, I carry the lessons and inspiration that I received from her with me, and I strive to provide the same level of care, expertise, and inspiration to my students.
  • What are your keys to success?

My keys to success include a deep knowledge of the instrument and music theory, an ability to adapt my teaching style to each student's needs and learning style, a patient and positive attitude, and a passion for music education. Consistent practice and dedication are critical for success in any musical pursuit. By providing a supportive and engaging learning environment, setting clear goals, and providing constructive feedback, I strive to help my students achieve their full potential and succeed in their musical journey.
