About Nazmus
I have been teaching and mentoring students in physics and mathematics for more than 17 years, working with students at levels ranging from college and undergraduate study to advanced and graduate-level coursework.
Over the years, I have worked with students from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, South Korea, Pakistan, the UAE, Bangladesh, and other backgrounds, both individually and in small groups. This experience has taught me that effective teaching is not simply about presenting information—it is about understanding how a student thinks and identifying the particular point at which their understanding becomes difficult.
My teaching therefore begins with the student's level, background, and objectives. I adapt the depth, pace, and mathematical treatment of a subject according to what the student actually needs.
My particular emphasis is on developing the connection between mathematical formalism and physical intuition. I do not want students merely to memorize equations or reproduce standard solutions. I want them to understand where an equation comes from, what its assumptions mean, what it is describing physically, and how the underlying idea can be applied in a new situation.
I have particular experience teaching and discussing areas such as classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, relativity, gravitation, cosmology, and advanced mathematics used in physics.

From Understanding the Equation to Understanding the Physics
My lessons are designed to go beyond conventional problem-solving.
Whether we work in person in Boca Raton or online, I aim to create an interactive environment in which you are encouraged to question, reason, derive, and connect ideas rather than simply follow a prepared solution.
Depending on your needs, a lesson may involve:
Conceptual explanation of the physical principles
Step-by-step mathematical derivations
Development of physical intuition
Guided problem-solving
Analysis of assumptions and approximations
Connecting different areas of physics
Examination and homework preparation
Advanced discussions beyond the standard curriculum
For example, rather than simply teaching a formula, I may take the time to examine why the formula has that particular mathematical structure, how it was derived, what physical assumptions are involved, and under what circumstances it can or cannot be applied.
For advanced students, we can go further and examine the mathematical framework underlying the physics. My goal is to help you move from:
“I know how to solve this problem”
to:
“I understand why this method works, and I can reason through a new problem myself.”
I also encourage students to ask questions freely. Difficult questions are often where the deepest understanding begins.

My Teaching Philosophy
Understand first. Calculate second.
Physics becomes much more powerful when mathematics and physical intuition develop together.
I therefore try to maintain a balance between rigorous mathematics and intuitive physical reasoning. A student should be able to follow the derivation, but also understand what the mathematics is actually saying about the physical world.
I do not expect every student to learn in the same way. Some students need a stronger mathematical foundation; others understand mathematics well but struggle to visualize the physics. Some need structured guidance, while others want to explore a subject well beyond their formal curriculum.
My role is to identify that difference and adapt the lesson accordingly.
