About Wan Muhammad Taufiq
Hi, I'm Taufiq. Photo and video editing started as something personal for me; I like putting together photos and clips from everyday moments or trips and sharing them with family and friends on WhatsApp. Somewhere along the way I got genuinely good at it, and now I want to pass that on.
I don't come from a formal photography background. I learned by doing, one edit at a time, mostly in Lightroom. What I can offer is the same eye I use on my own photos; how to fix exposure, get the colors right, and turn an ordinary shot into something you're actually proud to send to someone.
I'm patient and I keep things simple, no jargon, no overcomplicating it. If you want your photos to go from "meh" to something worth sharing, I'd love to help you get there.

My approach to teaching photo editing is hands-on and practical. I learned by doing, not from a textbook, so that's how I teach it too. Rather than working through generic theory, I like to start with photos the student has actually taken (phone or camera, doesn't matter) and use those as the lesson. We open them up together, and I walk through the same decisions I make on my own shots; exposure, color grading, cropping, retouching. Explaining the reasoning behind each adjustment so it becomes a habit rather than a checklist you forget the next day.
Lessons are built around Adobe Lightroom (mobile version, for now), since that's the tool I use daily and it works whether you're shooting on a phone or a proper camera. Sessions run online and typically last 45–60 minutes. I usually suggest the first lesson as a quick intro session. We look at a few of your photos, talk about what you want to get out of it (better social media photos, a personal editing style, or just understanding what all those sliders actually do), and set a simple plan from there.
My experience comes from years of editing photos and video for my own personal content, so everything I teach is grounded in real, everyday workflow rather than formal study. I'm not a certified instructor, but I edit constantly and I'm good at explaining things simply, which matters more for a beginner than a diploma.
These lessons are for complete beginners of any age; anyone who currently looks at Lightroom (mobile version) and has no idea where to start, and wants to leave each session actually able to edit their own photos with confidence.
