About Cathryn
I have been teaching in state schools for 21 years. I am a specialist language and communications teacher, an English teacher and a SENCo in both primary and secondary schools. I have a special interest in teaching pupils with Autism and ADHD. I am trained in supporting pupils with focus and attention and executive functioning skills. I am a consistently outstanding teacher with vast Ofsted experience. I have been employed to support teachers in their practice and help them design a SEND provision for their schools.

My approach is pupil centered, responding to individual needs. I have a wealth of knowledge in terms of learning styles and how best to support pupils who have specific needs. I am encouraging and nurturing in my approach.
I put the child and family at the centre of my support.
I can support both English and Maths progress alongside executive functioning skills.
I can support and develop communication and interaction skills, develop alternative methods of communication if necessary using visual images and signing.
I can work with parents on developing structure of practices in the home to support routine, organisation and communication.
Support with parental EHCP requests, DLA and referrals to OTs, SLTs available.
