About Jordan
I'm a practicing peripatetic brass tutor in across the Midlands and recipient of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire's "Post-Graduate Pedagogy Prize" for commitment to music education. Additionally, I have experience as a classroom Music Teacher as well as teaching online over Zoom/Teams with overseas pupils.
I currently study trombone at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under some the finest trombonists in the UK. Accepted for the "Kodály-Inspired Student" programme, I have received a scholarship and training in teaching with a Kodály-inspired approach. I received a First Class undergraduate degree from University of Huddersfield studying jazz and classical trombone. My musical experience covers a range of styles including orchestral, chamber, funk/pop, jazz combos, and big bands.

My lessons aim to be engaging, motivational, and ability-appropriate. I am available to tutor for a consultation lesson, exam preparation (GCSE/A level/ABRSM/Trinity), audition preparation, or just for fun and overall musical development. I set bespoke and clear plans for each student so that the learning journey is clear, and so that the short term and longer term goals are correlated.
I have experience teaching children with SEN requirements, and I adapt my teaching for the needs of every student so they can get the most out of each session.
