About Leila
I enjoy helping other people succeed, and I know first-hand that the medical school application period is a stressful time. I want to reassure students that it is never too late to work on their applications. I only had the confidence to even consider applying to medicine after my AS results came in. I had to find work experience before the application deadline, and prepare for the UKCAT and BMAT in a very short period of time. Despite not having the best UKCAT or BMAT score, I still managed to secure 3 out of 4 offers. I put this down to strategy. I applied to the medical schools that I was most likely to get into, and I believe this along with excellent predicted grades, a strong personal statement and persistent interview practice are what got me there. I would like to help others do the same.

I use a variety of methods, including reflective worksheets and discussions, to help you build a custom plan for getting into medical school. I will look at your GCSE grades, your predicted grades, as well as other attributes and preferences to help you decide which medical schools will give you the best chance of receiving an offer. Places are very competitive, so it is important to be strategic with your application. I use my own worksheets that I will ask you to fill out before the session, which we will use within the session to reflect on your experiences and start sculpting your personal statement. In my experience, it is better to bulk and then cut! Support and coaching will proceed throughout the interview process, and I will hold mock interviews to help you practise and refine your interview skills.

Leila is a really amazing tutor, her biology lessons were one of the best ever received. She is immensely knowledgeable, patient and has a very excellent manner of teaching.
Leila is very approachable and really tuned in to her students' individual needs. She explains concepts very clearly and keeps her sessions interesting and entertaining.
