About Braley
The main reason I want to tutor is because I genuinely love maths. I love it so much that I am currently applying for PhD programmes in pure mathematics. I think a lot of people are missing out on loving it because they didn't have the right teacher. If I can get one more person on the maths side, I consider that a win!

My Teaching Style:
For GCSE and A Level, my lessons are all about examples, practice, and pattern recognition. These exams have the same kinds of questions coming up every year, with slightly different phrasing. The best approach to doing well is seeing the method and drilling it until you have the muscle memory.
For STEP, MAT, and TMUA, my lessons are more focused on deep understanding and problem solving. These exams take a topic you have seen before and ask you a question that you won't have practised. This requires a full understanding of the topics, not just memorisation of methods. The best approach to succeeding is ensuring A Level knowledge is rock solid and practising unfamiliar question styles.
Lesson Length:
Lessons typically run 60 minutes with 90 and 120 minute lessons available.
My Qualifications:
I hold a First Class Masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Bath. It is still pretty recent that I took my GCSE and A Level exams, as well as the TMUA, so I know what these exams demand.
