I am passionate about students studying Maths because it is a subject that opens countless doors beyond GCSEs, regardless of their chosen path. A strong foundation in Maths not only supports further academic study in fields like science, engineering, finance, and technology but also develops essential problem-solving, logical thinking, and analytical skills that are highly valued in any career. Whether students pursue A-levels, apprenticeships, or enter the workforce, Maths provides them with the confidence to tackle challenges, make informed decisions, and seize opportunities. My goal is to help students see Maths not just as a subject but as a powerful tool that equips them for future success.

I am passionate about both one-to-one and group teaching, and I take pride in helping students build confidence in Maths. My approach involves breaking down concepts into manageable steps, using expert modelling before guiding students through practice examples. I provide structured support until students gain the confidence to work independently and consolidate their learning. To reinforce understanding, I incorporate regular quizzing and interleave prior knowledge with new content. As a GCSE examiner for Edexcel, I bring valuable insights into exam preparation, helping students maximise marks through effective exam techniques and past paper practice. Alongside tutoring, I continue to work as a secondary school Maths teacher, ensuring that my methods align with the latest curriculum developments and best teaching practices.

Perfect! Very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to child's needs
- Student has a thirst for knowledge and is in need of challenge to ensure he continues to enjoy his Maths. Great key stage 2 knowledge and already showing good progress in key stage 3, several years ahead of where he should be.
