About Shayan
I’m Shayan, a dedicated math tutor with over 4 years of experience helping students strengthen their skills and confidence. I hold an A.A. in Mathematics and have completed advanced coursework through Differential Equations. I’ve worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including those who once struggled with math and I take pride in explaining concepts in a clear and encouraging way. Hi, I’m Shayan, a patient and committed math tutor who believes every student can succeed with the right guidance. My approach focuses on clarity, patience, and building lasting confidence in problem-solving.
I start by identifying each student’s strengths and learning gaps, then tailor my explanations to their pace and style. I often use step-by-step examples, visuals, and real-world applications to make abstract concepts feel approachable and logical.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by guided practice on new concepts. I encourage students to explain their reasoning aloud, this helps me catch misunderstandings early and reinforce their critical thinking. We wrap up each session with targeted practice and a short reflection on progress and next steps.
