About Mustafa
Hello! I’m a Pharmacy student at UCL with several years of tutoring experience, including working at Explore Learning. I specialise in Maths, English, and 11+ preparation for primary and lower secondary students. I’m passionate about helping young learners build confidence, master key skills, and achieve their academic goals. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, using a friendly, structured approach that breaks down complex topics and makes learning engaging. I focus on building strong foundations while also developing problem-solving and exam skills in a supportive environment. Alongside my studies, I work in a professional healthcare setting with Boots, which has strengthened my communication, organisation, and responsibility—qualities I bring into every tutoring session. As a tutor, I take a student-centred and supportive approach, tailoring each session to the learner’s individual needs and learning style. I focus on building confidence alongside academic skills, using interactive methods such as guided practice, questioning, and real-life examples to help concepts ‘click’. My lessons typically last 60 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on the student's age and attention span. I often incorporate short assessments or fun quizzes to track progress and keep lessons engaging. I’m currently a Pharmacy student at UCL and have worked with Explore Learning, where I gained hands-on experience tutoring Maths, English, and 11+ for children aged 5–14. My background gives me a strong foundation in academic support and exam preparation. My lessons are ideal for primary and lower secondary school students (KS1–KS3), including those preparing for the 11+ entrance exams. I’m passionate about helping students not just improve their grades, but also enjoy learning and believe in their abilities.
